Synopsis: Orphaned by the war, young Eric Grout spends most of his time at London Zoo with the beloved Gorilla, Gertrude. The Blitz of London is well underway, and it is not going down well with the animals. When Gertrude's life is threatened the three decide to take refuge in the seaside town of Bognor Regis.
